Job Summary

As a key position within the management team, the Controller plans and directs the accounting operations and overall financial management of the company.


  • Establish and maintain financial controls, policies, procedures and guidelines for accounting, cash/credit management, administration, and compliance
  • Direct and execute accounting operations, produce periodic reports, and maintain financial records
  • Manage A/P, A/R, payroll
  • Develop budgets and forecasts
  • Advise management in commercial and financial matters
  • Coordinate and direct budgeting, procurement, investments, and financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with state/federal regulatory requirements and professional standards
  • Prepare/present GAAP-compliant financial reports and risk analyses
  • Prepare and file sales tax forms and tax returns
  • Assist with banking and vendors relationships
  • Reconcile credit card and bank statements
  • Maintain the general ledger
  • Assist with financial relations with tenants


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance (CPA preferred but not required)
  • Five or more years’ experience in accounting/related field
  • Understanding of Construction Job Costing: the real-time tracking of all costs associated with a job, including labor, materials, and overhead 
  • Experience with MS Office and construction related accounting software
  • Knowledge of federal tax regulations and reporting

Proctor Companies:

  • Salary range: $60,000 to $85,000, based on experience.
  • This is potentially a hybrid position located in Littleton, Colorado.
